You hear it all the time, "Let that go, it's not helping you." You think to yourself, yeah if it was only that easy. People say it left and right, over and over, but they never quite explain how it is to actually let something go. It may be a toxic relationship, it may be a belief that you learned from someone else that really doesn't fit and never did. It may be the way you view yourself, that your loved ones say is an out and out lie.

Whatever it is that you want to let go of, first you must realize that most of us have been raised that if we "forget" something it will come back and bite us again. That is not true, if you've done the work. If there is something that haunts you and you run from it or deny its existence, then yes, it will keep reappearing. If you function around any subject in fear, it will remain in your presence, until you quit denying its existence and release the fear around it.

However, if you take a healthy approach to any subject that you have grown tired of. Letting go of something does not mean you don't care, it does not mean you are a cold hearted person, it does not mean you are lazy. It simply means you are no longer willing to carry or think about something that doesn't help you become the person you're becoming.

If you have beliefs about something and don't know why you even have them and want to let them go, realize that a belief is just a thought you keep thinking over and over, it is not a permanent thing unless you choose it to be so.

Letting go is a process, you must look at your life and decide in which areas you want improvement and see what your beliefs around those subjects are. Do they coincide with the life you are creating or do they hinder you? Make a decision to eliminate those things that you no longer wish to carry around. To do this you have to have courage to sit with the issue and let it just be there for you to observe. See it, feel it, realize at some point it did serve a purpose in your life, but it is no longer necessary and joyfully bid it adieu with love and appreciation.

Take your time, be easy with yourself and one day you will look back and see how much lighter you feel, how much contentment and satisfaction has replaced the heavy load of things no longer meant for you.

All my love...

Dani
